About this poster

Chicago based illustration duo Dan Black and Jes Seamans (better known as Landland) have made an art print of their 2012 gig poster for the band Mount Eerie, an image fully charged and seemingly prepared for this exact moment. It borrows part of its title from a Himalayan mountain which—in situations of peril—will reveal treasures contained within. Among these, invincible armor.

After the birth of her daughter in 2015, Geneviève Elverum, part-time Mount Eerie member and wife of band leader and artist Phil Elverum, went in for a routine check up and went home with devastating news — she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After exhausting themselves financially and turning to family, friends have stepped up to assist the Elverum family. For their part, Landland’s Black and Seamans returned to an illustration created for the band to help.
