About this poster
These were made for The Black Keys’s stop at the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival festival back in mid-July, and their excellent art director Michael Carney and I worked up this idea that feels to me like a return-to-form of the kind of things I really enjoy drawing…decaying billboards and signage painted right on the sides of old buildings.
This one in particular is one I’ve inadvertently passed by a whole bunch of times over the years, it’s out in Edgerton, Wyoming…a place I never plan to (or expect to) be going through, but I’m always pleasantly surprised when this thing pops up out of nowhere.
