“It's just outside of Mauston, Wisc., off of 90/94, and I've passed by that thing hundreds of times. I made the drawing, Jes did the color, and we both took a lot of liberties there, but that's the thing it's based on. I remember we'd wanted to work off of the colors from the most recent MMJ album, which is why we ended up with this weird technicolor palette, versus the stark whiteness of the actual sign. This tactic of hanging a giant semi up in the air—or some huge part of some truck or tractor equipment—and using it to lure people off the highway has always worked on me.” - DB
