About this poster
I’m excited to share my first ever poster for Dave Matthew Band for their show in Maine this week. I had a lot of fun with this one on all the little details.
For this poster I took a spin off of Cassie the Great Sea Serpent of Casco Bay. Today this sea demon is now believed to have been a Giant Oarfish, one of the coolest living things to exist in my opinion. Maybe even cooler than a giant man eating sea monster? They can grow over 36 feet long and are able to preform autotomy where they can detach part of their body, much like a lizard losing its tail. It was once believed that if these giant fish were spotted in the shallow waters close to shore that it signified an incoming tsunami although that’s become more of a superstition at this point with little basis of proof to consider it a fact. I’m pretty sure if I had the chance to become a marine biologist studying these fish I’d give up posters altogether.
