π Iβm beyond stoked to have been asked to create two posters for this Dirty Heads tour! By far one of my favorite bands to design for, with the absolute nicest and most encouraging fan base. Always!
Iβve had this sh*tty old farm animal book my daughter found at some thrift store sitting in my studio for over a year now. (My wife even accidentally threw it out at one point and I had to retrieve it off of an old chicken meat package from our dumpster). I loved the layout of the design and knew I wanted to rip it off in some way. I couldnβt find the right fit until now.
Inspired by the Florida beaches, this poster depicts a sand castle competition between a couple of kids and a giant octopus. I like the idea that these kids busted their butts to build what they considered a sand castle masterpiece. Only to look up at the absolute mansion of a sand castle the octopus built in comparison as they as they stand in amaze and defeat. And then I made the sand teal because itβs my favorite color.
