About this poster
The 1st printing poster was printed before the concert on stock that varies slightly throughout the print run. The original poster can be identified by studying the six tiny dots on the bottom row of the smattering of dots to the left of the inside bottom right hand border. These six dots on the 1st printing are orange. There is also a white gap on the inside of the bend in the thin bright pink border directly to the right of the eye of the woman on the right. This space is not seen on the reprint. It measures 14" x 20".
"Once again we encounter the appearance of vibrating colors from the Master of Psychedelic Posters & Comics, Victor Moscoso's in this striking "Poster From The Past". Reminiscent of his Neon Rose series for the Matrix night Club, this is Family Dog poster number #59 entitled the "Bobbsey Twins", which was printed three times.
The central image is of two women holding the Family Dog logo between them. Above them are what appear to be flower blooms that contain the play bill information for these two nights of Dance/Concerts at the Avalon Ballroom which began on this day 55 years ago back in 1967.
Playing these shows were the Chambers Brothers along with the Iron Butterfly. Awesome Light show provided by Ben Van Meter and Rodger Hillyard."
