About this poster
During the concept phase I was listening to the studio albums on repeat. During a listen of Watercolor Days, there was a lyric that popped. A line from Lost and Found that I couldn’t get out of my head. “Like diamonds in a pit of sand”. It was so vivid. So, diamonds in a pit of sand. But I still needed more. Eggy’s music is layered, and I knew I needed to take it further.
So diamonds in a pit of sand, inside a larger diamond. A terrarium of sorts. A beautiful image. It felt almost too beautiful. That’s where the idea of bringing in inspiration from pawn shops. If that diamond, that held an entire world, was being pawned. Something you might possess, but can’t hold onto. I live for that balance of beauty and sadness, or rawness, or discomfort. It finally felt like a concept that could match the nuanced emotions that Eggy puts into their art.
