Tedeschi Trucks Band Cuyahoga Falls 23 The Planted Pen
About this poster
I wanted to honor their newest album “I Am the Moon” and the origins of the story that contributed to it, the 12th-century Persian poem of Layla and Majnun by Nizami Ganjavi; I also wanted to recognize this beautiful location in Ohio. I dove into Persian artwork and local research with the album in my ear, and crafted inspiration around one of my favorite things ever—-the moon.
Fun fact: this was my first poster designed for screen print, since I did it before MMJ. I’m a trained studio artist but I didn’t study screen printing, so this has been a big year for studying and learning more about it. Bear with me as I improve on my skills and technique here!
As always, grateful as hell for this journey. It took me a long time to get here.✨
