About this poster
When asked to illustrate the poster for DSO's cross-country tour (and my first horizontal format), I was immediately struck with the idea of a mapped trail plotting the tour stops. Inspired by looking back at old US and pirate maps, I sought to create a nostalgic piece that included regional landmarks and icons sewed together with a dash of Dead lyrics and plenty of natural beauty.
The coasts are each bolstered by native plants from each state and as always, a little magic. This was a really special piece that poured from my soul.
