About this poster
As so much of the Gorge’s appeal is its stunning natural beauty, I wanted these pieces to focus on precisely that: the jaw-dropping beauty of the natural world. Baptized in sunlight, it’s warmth and power and light and majesty, distilled into a human form. Its beauty and its grace. It's difficult to explain or find the exact words to articulate the feeling, but it feels like I’ve been drawing my entire life so that I could create this weekend’s set, truly. This feels like the convergence of many different techniques I’ve been practicing in my illustrating, compositions, and narratives; I’ve spent this last year becoming so hyper-focused on my ethos as an artist and what that means exactly, and this feels like the purest vision of the work I’ve always wanted to create. I’ve felt such a closeness to nature and its universal flow of energy and power and inspiration and healing, and this project is my ode to all that beauty in the world ☀️
