About this poster
This was one of those rare projects where I got to work directly with the band, and they knew exactly what they wanted to see—a lone garage in the desert, setting sun, the Red Rocks peaks towering in the distance, and the Cosmic Selector mysteriously glowing from the garage. The final request was for it to feel like a “cinematic wide shot”, so we took it to a stretched-out 12x36 landscape and stuffed it with lore.
A billboard from one music video, a Dodge Diplomat from another, a few graves in the sand, a very tiny WRLDNDR license plate, Tubbs’ radio, fake branding for a whiskey company, other fake branding for a gas station company, a phone suspended in space, a WBUB bumper sticker, mystery footsteps that suddenly disappear… the list goes on. I love creating worlds within posters, and this was a real treat to create a world within Lord Huron’s world. Really tried to channel my inner Mark Maggiroi with that desert landscape.
