Nirvana Marino 94 Locchi (OP-1) - Regular Edition
About this poster
Italian artist Alessandro Locchi designed this poster in a limited run of 1,000. Locchi personally funded production after initially facing resistance from the event organizer, who later approved the design.
He distributed 100 copies to the organizer, 100 to Radio Rock, and sold 600 through Art Rock Gallery in San Francisco, with the remaining 200 retained and sold privately over time. The poster has never been reprinted.
The central figure on the can is Claudia Schiffer, adapted from a controversial photo; Locchi used only her face in the final artwork.
Printed on white stock, approximately 19⅝" × 27½", numbered, signed, and rubber-stamped “Living Eyes Images Alessandro Locchi” in red ink.
