OK Hotel
The OK Hotel was a legendary Seattle bar and music venue located at 212 Alaskan Way South in the city’s historic Pioneer Square district. Best known for its influential role in the rise of Seattle’s underground music scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the venue became a gathering place for emerging punk, alternative, and grunge bands. Throughout its 15-plus year history, the OK Hotel hosted countless memorable performances and helped launch the careers of many iconic Northwest artists. The venue closed following damage sustained during the Nisqually earthquake on February 28, 2001, which impacted numerous historic buildings throughout Pioneer Square. The building now serves as low-income housing units.
