Powerhouse Arts
The Powerhouse Arts Printshop (formerly known as BRT Printshop) is a non-profit contract printshop in Red Hook specializing in large format screenprints on paper, canvas, metal, and plastic. The printshop was established in 2016, led by Luther Davis, soon after the closing of Axelle Editions in Boerum Hill, where Luther worked as master printer for sixteen years. During his time at Axelle, Davis not only printed projects for Axelle but also co-founded Forth Estate and printed their screenprint editions. The innovative team at the Printshop collaborates on over 300 projects a year with artists based in Brooklyn and around the world.
