Idyllion
Idyllion is greek for “little picture”. Generally these little pictures were idyllic poems focused on humanity’s harmony with nature, harmony with the dieties of nature, and the bucolic life. Some of these poems like the Georgics of Virgil were so detailed they nearly serve as how-to manuals in the arts of country living and farming.
