Skurktur
Skurktur is the artistic collaboration between Emil Khoury and Arne Skeie. We started working together on a hobby basis while studying in Trondheim, by making murals and small fanzines. The name “Skurktur” is a mashup of the Norwegian words skurk (“villain”), skulptur (“sculpture”) and struktur (“structure”), relating to the style and nature of our initial projects.
With a mutual interest in music, we were both drawn to a network of musicians in Trondheim, and in time got the opportunity to create album and poster artwork for several local acts. Through further collaboration with local record labels we started working with other bands, venues and independent clients.
In 2018 we decided to establish ourselves as a full-time studio. Although we still have a special love for projects and artwork relating to music industry, we also create illustrations, packaging design, editorial graphics, websites, logos, and other visual media for a wide range of clients.
