Kevin Mercer
Kevin Mercer creates vibrant conceptual illustrations that envision the invisible, tell personal stories, and reveal intricate connections between people and ideas. His process balances subtle detail and graphic punch, using a blend of analog and digital drawing, painting and collage.
Kevin’s ongoing editorial illustration practice covers subjects including science, technology, social innovation, travel, and personal narratives. His design experience covers advertising, publishing, and extensive work with music industry clients. In between assignments, he keeps a sketchbook practice that continually yields new directions and inspiration.
In addition to his studio work, Kevin is an Associate Professor in Illustration at University of the Arts.
