My work continues to inform and transform itself as I continue to explore working with a group of forms that are born out of years of autonomous mark making. The iconography that I am using morphs and evolves as I build and place these forms in an environment on several spatial planes. I am concerned with using space to allow these forms to exist together within a painting. Using transparency to push and pull color allows these forms to advance and recede in the space created. While there is an amount of unpredictable metamorphosis that occurs while working, I respond to my work consciously and am continually aware of my last move.
