Sophie Roach is a self-taught artist splitting time between her hometown of Austin, TX as well as Brooklyn, NY. By using familiar shapes, patterns, and her own intuition, she has created a unique visual language based on spontaneity and rhythm. Her abstract style is playful yet austere, extremely detailed and often vibrantly colored. In addition to showing her drawings in the fine art realm, her patterns have been applied to a variety of surfaces for commercial projects. Her large scale murals can be found all over Austin and in various cities around the US and abroad.
