Active 1969–1972, Osceola was a San Francisco–area rock band known for its energetic live shows in the city’s underground venues. Originally made up of musicians who had moved west from Florida, the group became a regular fixture at spots like the Family Dog on the Great Highway and the Long Branch Saloon in Berkeley.
Their sound blended psychedelic blues-rock with danceable grooves, perfectly suited to the Bay Area scene of the time. While they never released a commercial record, Osceola appeared on several concert posters, capturing the vibrant, experimental spirit of the late ’60s and early ’70s.
