"The original NASCAR race at Columbia Speedway was called the Sandlapper 200.. This is the Bass Slapper 200. The last premier division NASCAR race at the track was held in 1971 and Richard Petty won it. This is a nod to the 50th anniversary of that last race. Richard Petty’s 1972 Dodge Charger from the year he got the nickname “The King” It’s only fitting the Goat gets the King! I’m going to do a “Lap counter” at the bottom and do a run of 200. Each one will say Lap 1 of 200. Or Lap 33 of 200 and that will tie into the theme beautifully. Jack Rife was even kind enough to lend his famous “Turmoil” decal! The dates are April 1-4 so it ties in PERFECT with the podium and there’s even a Grammy chillin on the podium!" - AJ
