A variant edition of the artworkThe artwork for Visual Feast originated with the artist’s 2009 Ween poster for Outside Lands in San Francisco. Inspired by Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit,” the design presents a twisted Alice in Wonderland scene incorporating hidden references to numerous Ween albums and songs.
After the original gig poster sold out, the artist envisioned an expanded art-print version without the band’s name, replacing it with a towering Alice overlooking the tea party. The concept was finally realized for the cover of the artist’s retrospective book, Visual Feast. Nearly every portion of the original artwork was reworked, with additional colors, details, and imagery incorporated into the final composition. created for the cover of the artist’s retrospective book, Visual Feast.
