"KNICKS IN 5" - METHOD MAN


It has been an unbelievable few days here in New York City with the New York Knicks winning the NBA Championship! Down by as many as 29 points in Game 4 before a packed house at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks rallied against the San Antonio Spurs to secure the historic 107-106 victory on OG Anunoby's game winning tip-in. So how did the Knicks, who were down 76-49 at halftime, come back to win the game and eventually the series?


THE WU-TANG CLAN.


Trailing uncharacteristically at halftime, the New York Knicks brought out the Staten Island icons to shift the energy in the building. Wu-Tang delivered a blazing medley of their greatest hits, including "Bring Da Ruckus", "Wu-Tang Ain't Nothin ta F' Wit", "Method Man", and "C.R.E.A.M." which ended with Meth announcing "Knicks in 5." With MSG back from the dead after a dreadful first half, the energized crowd cheered on the Knicks as they stormed back from a 29-point hole to stage the biggest comeback win in NBA Finals history and take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

To commemorate the victory we asked Sanford Greene, the illustrator responsible for a number of classic Wu-Tang pieces, to revisit his 2025 Final Chamber poster with Knicks colors. With some perfectly placed ink, the blue and orange replaced the black and grey of Gotham, just like the Knicks have done.
