About this poster
I’ve been noodling with this idea for a few years, starting and coming back time after time. The piece is based on The Beatles classic “Helter Skelter” and incorporates references to the songs from the White Album and how those songs were corrupted in the minds of Charles Manson and his followers during the infamous Summer of Love. I did a lot of research on this piece, listening to the White Album, reading books and watching documentaries about how Manson used a piece of pop music (and illicit substances) to control his followers into buying into his warped view of the Apocalypse.
