About this poster

So this was weird — I literally had a dream, which is honestly how I come up with most of my ideas.


At first, the dream was completely different. Then I spent four days drawing this broken, beat-up old robot trying to warm itself by candlelight. The tour theme was “Fire,” and I thought it would be funny — or at least ironically fitting — to have something futuristic, like a robot, depending on something so primitive just to survive.


And honestly, I thought it made for a pretty cool poster.


But a couple days into working on it, I had another dream. In this one, Maynard appeared to me like some kind of sleep demon and said: “If people can sync The Dark Side of the Moon to The Wizard of Oz… why not sync Puscifer to Yellow Submarine?”


So I woke up and thought, “F@ck it. Let’s see what happens.”


I scrapped the original drawing. (And yeah, I know some of you are thinking I should’ve stuck with the first concept… too bad. I mostly draw for my own amusement anyway.)


So here we are: a happy, cartoony propaganda dystopia. The world is on fire, but the show must go on.


We understand. Normal isn’t… in Pusciferland.
