“Courage” is Chuck Sperry’s art print adaptation of the imagery originally created for his 2025 Dave Matthews Band poster for the band’s August 23 performance at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
Sperry introduced the figure as his new poster muse for Dave Matthews Band, naming her “Courage.” Through bold color, balance, and symmetry, he intended the work to inspire meditation and emotional response while representing courage, light, and beauty during difficult times. Sperry described his work from this period as defiant, expressing the hope that it could give others courage while the process of creating it gave courage to him.
Following its debut as a gig poster, Sperry removed the concert-specific context and released the imagery as the standalone fine-art print “Courage.”
