About this poster
The story behind this poster is a fascinating one. The artist, Brad Cantrell, was still in high school when he submitted his artwork to a local underground newspaper. A concert promoter happened to see his work and invited him to design the poster for the upcoming shows. According to a reliable source, Jimi Hendrix was so impressed with the design that he asked to meet the young artist. Brad was brought backstage, where Hendrix told him he loved the poster—especially the image of Abraham Lincoln appearing alongside him.
