About this poster
According to Phil Cushway of ArtRock, who produced this edition, he and Rick had discussed reprinting the poster for more than two years before production began. The original BG-105 film was reused, with additional colors introduced to more closely match the original artwork, including two separate tones of red. This edition was printed using oil-based inks, chosen for their superior color saturation despite being banned in California at the time due to their toxic properties.
Printing was carried out by Arellanes at a rate of one color per day, under a condensed schedule to minimize the risk of paper swelling from moisture. Registration was achieved using a simple folded-paper guide to maintain precise alignment. These labor-intensive methods and restricted materials made this edition exceptionally costly to produce.
Named as one of "The 25 Best Rock Posters of All Time" by Billboard Magazine.
