About this poster
On January 13, 1967, The Charlatans performed at San Francisco’s Avalon Ballroom with Moby Grape and The Sparrow (later Steppenwolf). Titled Moby Grape, this poster is the 43rd release in the Family Dog series. Artwork by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse features actress Alla Nazimova in an unused still from the 1923 film Salome.
This reprint of the Moby Grape poster was produced by Pomegranate Press in the 1990s. There is no “Double-H Press” credit; a Pomegranate Press credit appears on the back.
