Hello Everyone! My name is Ryan Besch (aka Your Cinema) and I am the poster artist from last night's show in Madison, WI. Josh reached out and invited me to the group, so I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know when my Artist Edition is going to be available (in case you didn't snag a poster last night). Here is the back story on the poster: when the band approached me, they wanted to do something that tied into the city, but was also fun and playful. Since it's the fall, I knew I wanted to do something involving a scarecrow and as I researched the city (and state) I found out that Wisconsin had a handful of tie-ins to The Wizard of Oz. The main one being that before it was released nationwide, the movie was shown in 14 select cities around the country and 8 of those cities were in Wisconsin. So most of the state was able to see the film before anyone else in the country. Playing around with that subject matter also gave me the idea to create a half scarecrow / half tin man chilling in a field of poppies, and instead of having crows sitting atop the scarecrow, I went with the official bird of Madison: the plastic pink flamingo. The origin of why that is their official bird is a fun story, but too long to type out, so I suggest looking that up for yourself. It sounds made up, but it's legit. The color palette was based off of some of the illustrations from the original Wizard of Oz series.
