About this poster
Hey gang, I’m stoked to be back to present my 3rd poster for Dirty Heads. I wanted to continue riffing on last years theme of a nautical smorgasbord of sea creatures toking on that seaweed. This year I wanted to add some nods to the Super Moon album (one of my favs) with some western equine related imagery. The horses are wrapped up and entangled by the three eyed octopi in an under the sea adventure. Are they fighting? Are they dancing? Who’s to say?
I also included a third eye crab at the center of the piece to introduce a strong thematic connection to Annapolis, Maryland. The city is famous for its crab cakes, the naval academy, and the Chesapeake bay waterfront. Fun fact! I learned during this process that Annapolis is known as the sailing capital of America! It’s the perfect place to host a Dirty Heads show.
Thanks for looking everyone, it’s always a blast working with Dirty Heads and having the opportunity to play with these oceanic sea life and maritime themes.
