About this poster
It was with great pleasure that I was asked to create a poster for the Asheville shows. Asheville is one of my favorite towns, which I travel to often to soak in the culture set against the backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains. The flood last Fall dealt a hard blow to the town and its residents, but like the resilient, good people they are, they are rising again.
With that in mind, I decided to do a piece I call Climb to Safety. It's also a nod to my close spreadhead friends Bob Finch and Jana Smith Finch, who were married last year at the Playa shows. Bob and I have known each other since we were 5 years old. Their wedding song was Climb to Safety. It seemed like a perfect fit all the way around.
