About this poster
This was a SUPER fun one - I wanted to figure out how to nail a New York vibe while also focusing on greenery for the park. While I was sketching, I kept looking around at my plants thinking how badly I wanted to put them on my balcony, but couldn’t because it was February and still too cold - so I was left wishing I had a greenhouse to bring the inside out, and then it hit me… I wanted to draw a rooftop greenhouse in the middle of manhattan, lush and bustling with life in its own little world while the city buzzes around outside!!
From there it was just having fun with color and perspective to really make the city feel like it was stretching way above the greenhouse, and then drawing each individual leaf on its own to try to bring in the character that a full greenhouse would into the piece.
