About this poster
This is a Pearl Jam concert poster for Fenway Park designed by Ames Bros. The front features a monstrous green creature reminiscent of the Incredible Hulk, wearing baseball cleats and holding a baseball. The muscular figure is rendered in vibrant green against a yellow background with a red border frame. The design includes a "Built to Last" Fenway Park baseball logo showing the August 2016 concert dates. "BOSTON MASS." appears in bold red letters at the bottom with "PEARL JAM" beneath it.
The back side displays a more subtle, monochromatic gray design featuring a furry monster or beast holding a baseball with the Fenway Park logo. Below is the text "TIME TO PLAY THE SHOW" and a quote from Willie Stargell: "WHEN YOU START THE GAME, THEY DON'T SAY 'WORK BALL!' THEY SAY 'PLAY BALL!'" The Ames Bros logo is incorporated into the baseball design.
The poster cleverly combines baseball imagery with monster movie aesthetics, playing on both Fenway Park's "Green Monster" wall and comic book superhero visuals.
