About this poster
This is a creative tour poster for the Dave Matthews Band 2016 Summer Tour designed as a board game path. The design features a spiral-like game board track with various tour dates and venues represented as game spaces. The path is colored in alternating orange-red and white sections, set against a teal/turquoise leafy background. In the center is a brown wooden house-like structure with the band's name. The game board includes playful illustrations of animals (including what appears to be an owl and a fox), as well as various game-style instructions like "Roll Again!" scattered throughout. The bottom of the poster shows a forest treeline in a minimalist style, with what appears to be a lumberjack or climber figure on a tree trunk. The overall aesthetic is whimsical and reminiscent of vintage board game designs.
- The original Blue edition from 2000 was available in limited quantities at shows, only after the individual show prints had sold out.
- The Green variant (edition of 1,000) was first released at the Noblesville shows in July, following the sellout of the individual show prints.
- The Orange variant (edition of 450) was introduced at the Gorge shows in September, also after the individual show prints had sold out.
A limited number of all three editions were later sold through Methane Studios' Etsy store, with copies signed by the artist.
