About this poster

The Soul Survivors, The Box Tops, and Jimmerfield Legend played a concert in Denver, Colorado on December 15–16, 1967 at the Family Dog Denver venue. The show was advertised with a poster designed by Alton Kelley, a motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic. The poster's central image is a customized drag bike with the word "Truth" on a chrome plate. The bike has a sideways mounted small block V-8 engine, headers, and "Kelly" brand tires.

The motorcycle featured on this poster, known as "Truth," was built and raced by E.J. Potter, famously known as the Michigan Madman, within the drag racing community.
