From New York to Japan to California, and then back to New York, our latest release has been a worldwide collaboration, bringing together two masterful artists from different parts of the globe: Jeff Gillette and Roamcouch!
We’ve spent years appreciating Jeff’s artwork from afar, and we were ecstatic when his art became the centerpiece for Banksy’s wildly subverted exhibit, DismalLand. Jeff’s dystopian takes on pop culture characters and icons was enthralling and a real standout among art legends.
Bringing Roamcouch’s stencil mastery together with Jeff’s darker approach to pop culture, Castle and Sign are a set of prints exploring the tainted reflection of the pop culture titans and imagery that has been ubiquitous throughout our lives. The set of images is littered with finely crafted details, and features a few surprises.
