Taxi Driver Pencils Variant (V2)
Twelve hours of work, and I still can't sleep... damn. Days go on and on... they don't end. All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention, I believe that one should become a person like other people.
The Pencils variant along with Krzysztof's original artwork which was obviously inspiration for this edition. This uses only 3 x inks and almost looks like it could have been drawn, incredible work by Juan Saniose on the separations as well as the print shop who nailed them.
Krzysztof's pencil work on this is a sight to behold, the talent on display here is something else. Just to put it into perspective, the panel with Travis and the shoplifter, it took Krzysztof between 9-11 hours just to draw that one section 🤯, this screen print does his pencil work justice, it was (until our next project together), the longest he'd ever worked on pencils for any commissioned art / AMP, I'll let him say how many hours but I get the feeling he was very much channelling his inner Travis Bickle while making this one, working late into the nights that went on and on...
