It is with great pleasure, that I can finally reveal my contribution to the final stop on the US leg of the amazing Johnny Blue Skies/Sturgill Simpson "Why Not?" Tour! The shows are tonight and tomorrow night in Boston at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park. If you aren't able to get one at the shows, I'll have a limited number of prints (including exclusive foils) available on Monday.
I'll first announce the exact time of the sale (and provide some backstory and pics of said foils) via my email newsletter on Monday morning. If you'd like to receive this email, be sure to sign up (sign up form located at the bottom of every page on the website). Otherwise, I'll likely announce it closer to the sale time on Facebook and Instagram.
I had the pleasure of seeing the show in Lexington (in September) and was jaw dropped for 3 1/2 hours!! Seriously one of the best concerts I've ever seen! I was already excited to be designing a print for Sturgill but, after that show, I couldn't be more excited. Being a fellow Kentuckian, I just "get" that man. Anyway, predominately inspired by "Scooter Blues" off the new album, there are a number of Easter Eggs throughout...including (but not limited to) Curt Schilling's bloody sock from Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship Series. I'll discuss more in the email. Hope you guys dig it!! 🛵🎸
