About this poster
This is Lucy by Nate Duval. George Harrison's 1958 Gibson Les Paul guitar, nicknamed "Lucy", is believed to be kept at his residence. Lucy was stolen from Harrison's Beverly Hills home in 1973, but he eventually got it back. The guitar was sold to Whalin's Sound City music store on Sunset Boulevard, and then to Mexican musician Miguel Ochoa. Harrison reportedly used a 1958 Les Paul as a ransom payment to get Lucy back.
Lucy was a "Goldtop" Les Paul Standard model with PAF humbucking pickups, a combination that was only produced in 1957 and part of 1958. Before Harrison owned it, Lucy was owned by John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful, Rick Derringer, and Eric Clapton. The guitar was featured on several Beatles albums, including White Album, Let It Be, and Abbey Road.
