About this poster
For this piece, I wanted to make an unapologetic tribute to that fearless generation of San Francisco underground pioneering artists that gave us Psychedelic Posters and Zap Comix, destroying my teenage mind and paving the way for the rest of us to follow…
Plus in the 70s my teenage brothers fed 7 year old me hash brownies so it’s a self portrait of sorts. (is it all starting to make sense now ?)
TRPS formed with a singular purpose to honor the rich history of the Rock poster medium, while celebrating and supporting artists. They are also really good at acronyms. Their Artist Relief Trust (ART) was created to fundraise for artists in need, which is exactly what this poster will be used for. - Z
