About this poster
I was asked to do this poster for the Ridgedale, MO date, which of course is in the Ozarks. I did some research and saw that cliff jumping is a popular attraction in parts of the area. I personally have some really fond memories of cliff jumping as a teenager, so I was really drawn to depicting an end of summer moment like this. The idea to make it a sunset scene sort of arose from some of the reference photos I encountered, and I wanted to see if I could capture those kinds of colors in a screenprint. I think the dramatic lighting and silhouetted figures with the tentacles ominously lurking up in the foreground make for a fun poster. My excellent friend--and amazing poster artist/printer--Neal Williams printed these!
