About this poster
This poster is a page out of a diary, shown visually.
The first sentence of the diary entry is "On Sunday, August 4, 2024, 311 play at Merriweather Post Pavilion, in Columbia, MD..."(which is how the show info appears on the bottom), and this is what happened after.
They had been out a few times before, but this one was special. This was the ONE. They held hands during the whole concert. Then they spent the whole rest of the night talking, sharing, laughing, and then not talking so much -- and the whole time, the echoes from the concert still ringing in the air.
Then the sun started to come up, it was time to say goodbye. But they just stood there, in the calm quiet of sunrise, unable to look away from each other. The page in the diary ended like this: "...all we could hear was the band playing 'our song', and all I could see was our future in his eyes. And all we could say was nothing, because a moment like this has no words. Good morning my love."
I added a close-up jpeg of the band playing on the stairs -- this part will be so sick. And of course there's the classic snow globe, which has appeared in so many posters before. A fun motif to continue.
