About this poster
The inspiration behind the Cleveland poster comes from growing up in Ohio and going to shows in Cleveland as a teenager. The massive old architecture in the city always really made me stoked when I’d drive into town coming from down south. I wanted to pay homage to something that still catches my eye every time I’m in town.
I love doing the illustration with the photo combo, and this poster was the perfect opportunity. I thought it would be fun to have the DH octopus larger than life, kinda like a party invasion hitting the city. It almost has a parade balloon vibe too, a little high flying summer show is always a winner.
