About this poster
This was a fun one for me, first off because I got to finally do some sort of adaptation of the legendary WPA National Park posters—which hold down a significant corner of screenprinted poster history—but ALSO because @_jseamans & I got a chance to do our weirdo thing where I sketch a poster out and then hand that off to her to finish, and what ends up coming back is like a strange cousin of the initial sketch…it’s a kinda fun and bizarre experience for me (and probably me alone, I guess).
Once it came back over, I gave my best attempt at that iconic WPA travel poster typography…I swear I could just draw wonky lettering forever and be so stoked.
We’ll have copies of these (and the Wilco ones, and I think one other one) up in the usual spot sometime Monday…still figuring that out amidst a veritable mountain of wrapping up a million other rad things over here. Okeee…seriously thanks for saying nice things about that Wilco poster yesterday! We’re all wiped out over here.
