About this poster
"My inspiration was given by the band, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, and I ran with it without referring to the movie or book, but just using the idea as a theme. I created an image that suggests Eve in the Garden of Eden, but also suggests Eurydice who once bitten by the snake is taken away to Hades where Orpheus the Prophet-Musician must play his most beautiful music before the King and Queen of the Underworld to save his one true love. It’s a story about the power of love, the length of love and the strength of music to heal. I’ve been creating floral patterns for many of my prints over the last few years; I wanted to create a floral pattern for the background, but this time, a harmonious non-repeating one, which has the rhythm of nature. It’s always okay if you just want to enjoy it for your own reasons, but that’s my inspiration."
