If you swipe along a bit, you’ll see the draft sketch for this. I would say OG but this concept has actually existed and been circulating for various bands at least since 2017. The original concept was Joel’s and had a different layout and more floral, old style approach we just don’t do anymore.. but as is the case in a lot of projects, the working file was passed back and forth between us to update it. While working on Reflector for DD, I felt this piece could present it well by capturing more of a feeling you get from the album. The end result you see was fun for me because it was illustrated by myself, but I had to filter it through Joel’s approach to style and character building and push myself to translate all of that how my hands could best. This came out way more colorful than intentionally planned too and I think it was for the better. Stay Cosmic, Stay Hopeful ✌🏼
