About this poster
It's that time again. I have re-struck the original plates I carved for "Quatrain XXVI" an adaptation of the Illustration by Edmund J. Sullivan, to mark the 4th year since the fateful shows that celebrated 50 years since the inception of The Grateful Dead.
I printed these using 3 layers of ink on Sirio Pearl Oyster Shell paper. The first layer of white stands out against the iridescent sheen of the paper, which causes 'things to happen' depending on where one is standing when viewing.
Over the white is a very reflective metallic silver for the roses. The final layer of black ties it all together. The light dances on these.
