About this poster

Recently there was a big Eclipse near Mexico City….

The first album I ever bought was 1980’s The Cure: Boys Don’t Cry, which featured a big pyramid on the cover.

Here I combined those elements with indigenous/traditional Toltec iconography and with Robert Smith’ iconic Eye representing the mysteries and moodiness of their music.

Also, the name of the big festival for which this poster was done, is called the Corona festival so that’s one more reason this poster was an ideal fit for me….
