About this poster
Jay Alders was commissioned again by the internationally famous SoCal based band Slightly Stoopid. This project was for a limited edition tour poster for the July 9, 2016 show in San Diego, the band’s home surf break.
The painting was painted in acrylic by surf artist Jay Alders and released for sale at the San Diego event and quickly sold out. Since the event, it has been released as a towel and sold out several times as well.
The artwork features the famous spot, Ocean Cliffs known to locals as “Birdshit Rock” for the large stone that acts as home to many sea birds as the waves crash into it.
The band’s name melts into the ocean wave formation with the warm sun setting on the horizon of the Pacific Ocean.
